Rethinking shift scheduling for clinicians
Kry Livi is a leading European healthcare provider specializing in teleconsultation. I joined the French R&D team to adapt the product to local needs and improve the experience for General Practitioners (GPs).
One of my key missions: redesign the clinician shift scheduling experience, a critical part of Livi Pro, the platform used by doctors to manage their work.

Challenge
Clinicians in France lacked autonomy and clarity when managing their work shifts. The current scheduling system (relying on external tools and manual approvals) was frustrating, opaque, and inefficient.
Improving this was crucial to retain doctors and ensure better care for patients.
Results
More autonomy and satisfaction for clinicians
Doctors could now manage their work schedule directly in the tool they use daily, with less friction and more visibility.
Increased availability for patient care
Thanks to smoother planning and recurring shift features, clinicians worked more hours, improving patient coverage without additional recruitment.
Reduced operational costs
By eliminating external scheduling tools and streamlining processes, while keeping full control over shift compliance.
Stronger alignment across teams
The Design Sprint helped align local and central teams on a long-term product vision, unlocking faster iterations and better collaboration going forward.

Solution
We designed and shipped features tailored to clinicians' needs and organizational constraints:
Smart shift scheduling
Doctors can now manage their shifts directly in Livi Pro. No more external tools or human validation required.
→ Gave them more control and reduced friction.
Staffing forecast in the calendar
A visual indicator helps avoid overbooking and encourages better coordination across teams.
→ Addressed one of the biggest pain points raised in user research.
Recurring events & contract-based rules
We introduced support for recurring shifts and built-in constraints based on legal or contractual rules.
→ Simplified planning and improved compliance.
